It’s impressively full of humor, romance, and realness. 5/5 Review From Romancing the Book

Unexpected Blind Date by Joanne Rawson
Release Date: April 16, 2014
Publisher: Melange Books, LLC
Pages: 28
If any of Grace Worthing’s friends dared to suggest she should go on a blind date, her answer would have been, “Blind dates are so tacky; they are definitely for the desperate.” She was so over men! After her fifth Sex on the Beach cocktail she told friends she would never have sex again, let alone have sex on a beach. Then, somewhere between her second and third tequila slammer, Grace found herself, agreeing to meet Adrian. Little did she know how interesting and unexpected her blind date would be.

Review:  Unexpected Blind Date is a witty, realistic take on dating and romance in your thirties. I completely understood how Grace felt being the unmarried sister, and one of the few singles left in her circle of her friends. Blind Dates can always be hit or miss, and I sympathized when she found herself pressured into one by a well-meaning friend. The twist that happens while she’s waiting at the bar to meet her date was, no pun intended unexpected.
For a twenty-eight page book, it’s impressively full of humor, romance, and realness that I tend to associate with woman’s literature. For that reason, I’d call this a smart erotica, except the sex scene was closed door, which was fine. I didn’t need the door open when I had the easy banter between her and her beau, and the spark of attraction and sexual attention. I’ve never read Ms.Rawson before, but I will again.
